The Best Spring Fragrances, That Easily Carry Into Summer

The older I get the more spring begins to creep up on my list of favorites seasons—fall obviously takes the top spot. Yet there’s something about the fresh smell in the air after a rainfall, the fragrance of Lillie’s and Jasmine blooming in the distance, and weather that allows for showing a bit more skin without being too hot or too cool. My favorite thing however, may be the scents I get to where that matches the beautiful scenery, and evoke a new spirit of lightness and joy. I love that moment when a scent dances its way from your exposed collarbone, up to the nose of someone nearby. They may lean in to get a more unobstructed whiff, or stop you in your tracks to ask what you’re wearing. It’s no accident that memory is tied to the sense of smell. I truly believe the right fragrance is paramount for every woman to have in her arsenal, and this list of fragrances we selected are bursting with floral feminine scents that will add a bit more pep to your spring.

1.     Gorgeous Gardenia, Gucci Flora $34 and up at Sephora

Without a doubt I always get loads of compliments when I wear this perfume. It’s addicting and uplifting with notes of White Gardenia, Red Berries and Pear. It epitomizes spring date nights, or a girls trip to a winery.

2.     Chance Eau Tendre, Chanel $62 and up at Sephora

With a beautiful rounded bottle, this delicate scent is floral but fruity, soft yet refined. Notes include soft Jasmine and hints of grapefruit. This was my first big girl fragrance and will always have a special place in my heart.

3.     Coco Mademoiselle, Chanel $80 and up at Sephora

Notes include Grasse Jasmine, May Rose, Vetiver, and Patchouli. This iconic fragrance is a must have for anyone obsessed with ultra feminine scents, and a sucker for vanity porn. Hands down my favorite Chanel fragrance.

4.     English Pear & Fressia, Jo Malone $70 and up at Nordstrom

This fragrance is described as “the sensuous freshness of just-ripe pears is wrapped in a bouquet of white freesias, and mellowed by amber, patchouli and woods.” I sometimes don’t really relate to the descriptions of fragrance notes, as they always just seem a little to convoluted for my liking. But this perfume reminds me of white flowy summer dresses, mimosas on the porch, and flowers in full bloom in New Orleans. A bright intoxicating scent perfect for a summer day that turns into night.
